My career in dentistry started at the age of sixteen, working as a co-op after school. One of the first things I noticed while working in the dental field was how frightened patients were. It became my mission to help patients realize that dentistry doesn’t have to be a hurtful or scary experience. It has been my goal throughout my dental career to create an environment where patients are treated with five star service, with every creature comfort we can offer. There is no greater reward than helping a patient achieve and maintain a healthy beautiful smile. After all it is one of the first things people notice about us.
I started working in the dental field when I was 18 years old to help my sister at the office she was managing. After working in the dental field for a while I found I truly enjoyed it and decided to change my career path. Working with the patients and showing them that seeing the dentist can be a great experience, is something that I strive for. I look forward to working with our wonderful patients’ every day and hope to make each person I see feel like they are visiting family when they are with us.
My dental experience began young, as I was a complicated orthodontic case and needed several stages to my treatment, including surgeries. With my own treatment, I was very exposed to being a patient in the dental chair and turned my own dental anxieties into a positive experience. I knew then that I wanted to be passionately involved in the field of dentistry. I graduated from Oakland Community College as a Registered Dental Hygienist, and from Oakland University with my Bachelors in Pre-Dental. I respect all patient needs and understand that the dental chair is often not a favorite place to be. My goal is to achieve patient comfort through empathy and rapport. Every day I look forward to taking care of my patients and seeing their bright smiling faces!
